The Game: Background
The Game is a partnership involving Fuse, Connect Community Trust, The Pavillion, Glasgow Kelvin College, Innerzone, The Connie and The Calvay Centre and is funded by The Scottish Government’s Investing in Communities Fund.
Principles
Through The Game, our partnership aims to promote the participation and inclusion of young people in Glasgow East, and to contribute to the Scottish Government National Performance Framework.
During The Game, each partner organisation delivers their own programme of youth work, with focuses on themes including Participation, Mental Health & Wellbeing, Digital Inclusion, Attainment, and Climate Action. Young people across Glasgow East who participate in these activities are in turn awarded with points which they can collect - the winners of each youth club and category can win prizes worth up to £250. The number of points that young people are awarded are dependent of their level of participation, and their learning outcomes as a result of their engagement in each activity.
By incentivising young people to participate in youth club activities, we support young people to learn new life skills, make better life choices, and gain accreditation.
